Analytics without a cookie banner

PostDeploy Measure counts pageviews and custom events for your project without setting a cookie, storing a raw IP address or keeping a persistent visitor identifier. There is nothing here for a consent banner to disclose.

The PostDeploy Measure console: a traffic overview with pageviews and visitors trending up across two weeks, with no cookies involved.
The actual product, running an actual project. Not a mockup.

What PostDeploy Measure does

Two things, read at a glance: pageviews, and custom events for whatever you want to count beyond a page load. Both roll up into a per-project dashboard you can check without digging through raw rows.

How the privacy claim holds up

Measure sets no cookies, stores no raw IP address, and keeps no persistent visitor identifier. Counting a unique visitor without any of those needs a different approach: the project, the source, the IP address and the user agent are combined into a keyed hash, using a secret salt that rotates every day. The raw inputs are discarded at the point of ingest; only the hash is stored.

Because the salt rotates daily, the hash from today cannot be matched against the hash from yesterday. That is a deliberate trade, not a limitation to work around: the same property that keeps Measure from linking a visitor across days is what makes it not reversible across days.

What PostDeploy Measure does not offer

Stated plainly: goals are not evaluated or displayed. Measure reports pageviews and custom events, and stops there.

How many events your plan includes

The trial runs at Pro size: 500,000 analytics events a month. After the trial, Indie keeps 100,000 a month for $5, with higher ceilings on Pro and Scale. Each pillar has its own allowance. See every plan's full set of limits on the pricing page.

Questions

Does PostDeploy Measure need a cookie banner?

PostDeploy sets no cookies and stores no persistent visitor identifier, so Measure itself creates no such requirement. Whether your site needs a banner depends on everything else running on it.

Can PostDeploy tell me if a visitor came back next week?

No. The salt used to derive the visitor hash rotates daily, so a hash from one day cannot be matched to a hash from another day.

Does PostDeploy Measure track conversion goals?

No. Goals are not evaluated or displayed. Measure reports pageviews and custom events only.

How many analytics events does each plan include?

The 30-day trial runs at Pro size: 500,000 a month. Indie includes 100,000 a month, tracked on its own allowance rather than shared with monitoring or error tracking.
