What comes back, every time

Final status
The HTTP status of the last response, and how long it took.
Request path
Every redirect hop between your address and that response.
Response headers
What served the page, the content type, the size read, and the cache rule.
Security headers
Whether HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy and nosniff are sent.
DNS and certificate
The addresses the host resolved to, and, for HTTPS, certificate trust and days to expiry.
Keyword
Whether your keyword appears in the HTML that came back.

What one request does not tell you

  • This is one request from PostDeploy's current region, so it carries no uptime history.
  • The check does not run page JavaScript, so it reads the HTML the server sent.
  • It does not prove that you own the address.
  • A successful response does not prove that every application function works.
